Middle School Language Arts is the forum for students to explore and understand the past, present, and future through literature and writing. By reading various genres of literature; such as narrative, exposition, and persuasive; students will broaden, relate to, and share each other's perspectives. Their voices will not only be heard through discussions about literature, but through their writing as well. Trough encouragement, support, and fun, Language Arts will successfully educate and hopefully inspire our young writers and readers to become authors.

Students are encouraged to read at home on their own for at least 20 minutes a day. Students will get extra credit for each completed book report.

How Can Parents Help? 
Check student's planner every night. Review and discuss homework assignments. 
Provide a quiet place to study. Look for school progress reports every 4 weeks. Visit a local library. Encourage you child to read at least 20 minutes a day.
