About the LSLC
The Local School Leadership Council is made up of teachers, parents, staff, community, students and the principal of the school. Members are elected by the groups they represent each year. This council has five main areas of authority:
- Student Discipline.
- Staff Development.
- Specified Budgets.
Some of the most important responsibilities of LSLC are to set the dates for minimum days, conference nights, Back to School Night and Open House; approve the school's bell schedule and any special schedules; and review and make revisions to the Student Handbook including the school discipline policy. This council meets about once each month during the school year.
